Job Title: MPD Supervisor

Location: Shop – Leduc, AB; Field locations throughout AB and SK

Schedule: 21/10 or ad hoc

Contract Length: 3 month renewals with potential for permanent employment

Position Overview

Our client is currently seeking multiple skilled and motivated Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) Supervisor to support our field operations. This role is essential to executing safe, efficient, and high-quality MPD procedures in coordination with rig and service teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor MPD equipment (choke manifolds, True Flow systems, RCDs)
  • Assist with rig‑up, rig‑down, and pressure testing
  • Monitor well parameters and maintain wellbore stability using surface backpressure
  • Coordinate with rig crews, drilling engineers, and directional teams
  • Maintain detailed operational logs and shift reports
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on MPD equipment
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company and client safety policies
  • Actively participate in safety meetings, planning sessions, and post‑job reviews
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of MPD field experience in a supervisory role (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of MPD systems (automated/manual), hydraulics, and pressure control
  • Valid certifications: H2S, First Aid, CSO, WHMIS, etc.
  • Physically fit and willing to work in remote field environments
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean abstract
  • Familiarity with Canadian oilfield regulations
  • Experience with MPD equipment
