A vibrant dining establishment is looking for full-time Sous Chefs to lead kitchen activities and mentor cooking staff. This role involves demonstrating cooking techniques, supervising kitchen operations, and ensuring high-quality food presentation. Ideal candidates should have solid experience in commercial cooking and be ready to elevate our culinary offerings.
· Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
· Wage: $23.00 – $25.00/hour (depending on experience)
· Number of Positions: 2
Job Duties:
· Supervise daily activities and the duties of kitchen staff
· Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
· Provide training to cooks on the methods of preparing, cooking, garnishing, and presenting dishes
· May plan menus and request necessary food and kitchen supplies
· Prepare and cook whole meals as well as develop decorative food displays
Job requirements:
· Education: Completion of secondary school is required
· Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience are required
