Qualifications

• Experience with extrusion equipment in Food, Plastics or Rubber Industries is ideal.
• Live within a 30-minute commute of Guelph.

Responsibilities

• Perform extensive preventative maintenance and breakdowns on various equipment.
• Weld using stick and MIG welding techniques.
• Partner with outside contractors for projects.
• Maintain appropriate levels of parts inventory.
• Assist in training of Apprentices.
• Conduct general facility maintenance and light fabrication duties.

Job description

Are you a licensed 433A Millwright looking to make an impact in your career? Do you live in the Guelph area, and are looking for a straight afternoon shift on a newly established shift (the company is growing)? Look no further!
This role will have you working alongside Apprentices, performing extensive preventative maintenance duties and breakdowns on a variety of equipment such as extruders, mixers, ovens, hydraulics, pneumatics and packaging equipment, among others.

What will you be doing?
- welding using stick, MIG
- general facility maintenance
- partnering with outside contractors
- ensuring appropriate levels parts inventory
- using basic computer skills
- assisting with the training of Apprentices
- light fabrication duties
