Job summary

A mining company is seeking a Mill Supervisor to provide guidance in maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will have trades certification and at least 5 years in a supervisory role in a Mineral Processing Plant. Responsibilities include supporting supervisors, ensuring safety compliance, and promoting crew training. This full-time position is based at the Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, on a 4 days on, 3 days off schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role, preference for senior supervisory experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Mineral Processing Plants (Crushing/Grinding/Leaching).
• Experience in CMMS, particularly SAP and JDEdwards.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance to Mill Maintenance Supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards.

Job description

Overview

Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Superintendent, you will be part of the Mill Department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance and direction to the first line Mill Maintenance Supervisors
• Provide the technical knowledge and skills required to assist in maintenance tasks, ensuring alignment with company and department objectives
• Provide support to the department Superintendent to ensure consistency across the department
• Provide support to the first line Supervisors to assist with troubleshooting, crew advancement, training, coaching, and corrective action where required
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards and compliance with timelines for corrective actions
• Ensure crew training requirements are being met, and encourage continuous improvement
• Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint

Qualifications

Your Work Schedule

• Schedule: 4 days of work, followed by 3 days off, from Tuesday to Friday, at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
