What might a typical day look like?

As an assistant department manager, you will have to:

  • perform day-to-day management activities within your department in collaboration with the department manager;
  • provide team members with the feedback necessary for their professional development and the achievement of established objectives;
  • collaborate with the production and customer service clerks; ensure the implementation of exceptional customer service;
  • in collaboration with the manager, ensure the management of inventories, price lists, marketing and salary productivity according to established standards in order to ensure business readiness.
Qualifications
  • You have 2 years experience in retail or customer service.
  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
