Job Title: Material Planner

Job Location: Mirabel, QC

Job Schedule: Day Shift

Compensation Range: Between $57,500 - $107,500 CDN annually

The Material Planner is responsible for procurement activities for customer parts and for supporting and suggesting strategies for repair line operations across different sites while maintaining optimal inventory levels. The role includes processing purchase requests, performing inventory transfers, analyzing historical transactions to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, and actively participating to achieve department objectives and meet quality standards.

Essential Functions
  • Fill in material requirements and suggest strategies for the operations of the inventory provided by the customer in a multi‑site context;
  • Participate actively in the resolution of material issues;
  • Provide material management support to all the sites and the store;
  • Ensures the quality of inventory data (e.g. validity, accuracy, inventory locations, erroneous transactions);
  • Support the operation of computerized data systems and suggest strategies according to the needs of the organization;
  • Rigorously monitor inventory levels;
  • Identify, analyze and communicate the optimal method of material rotation;
  • Identify and support obsolete inventory management;
  • Analyze material forecast;
  • Communicate within and outside the organization with different departments and other supply chain actors;
  • Participate in the development, implementation and communication of materiel management procedure and governance rules; Support development and updates of performance indicators at the materiel management level;
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve materiel management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or equivalent;
  • Three to five (3‑5) years of relevant material management experience (any other equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered);
  • Good knowledge of logistics chain concepts and processes and inventory management;
  • Knowledge of SAP an asset;
  • Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written);
  • Teamwork, Initiative, Flexibility, Stress Management, Customer oriented;
  • Advanced level knowledge for Excel;
  • Good analytical skills.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
