Position Summary
We’re seeking a highly motivated Marketing Data Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team, supporting both internal stakeholders and external agency partners. This role bridges the gap between our enterprise data strategy and the marketing organization, helping drive high‑impact campaigns through clean data, efficient tooling, and actionable reporting. As a key member of the Data team, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring proper data governance, architecture, and integration. You’ll also serve as the primary data partner to Marketing and external vendors, supporting and optimizing tools such as Power BI, BigQuery, Looker Studio Pro, Campaign Manager 360, DV360, GA4/Analytics 360, and GTM 360.
Partnership with Marketing
Your primary job responsibility is the support of the marketing team’s data needs. This responsibility includes dedicated support for our marketing team’s efforts to increase their data capabilities. This includes involvement in initiatives that collect, transform, join, and generate insights that inform senior management decisions.
Responsibilities
- Understand & apply foundational statistical concepts for the marketing industry.
- Review, analyze, and provide feedback on marketing data sets; including identification of gaps, opportunities, and methods for improving data collection.
- Assist in the development of marketing‑related solutions, providing guidance and feedback that steers solutions.
- Marketing report SME: Gather and communicate reporting needs for effective communication and presentation of our KPIs to the development side of the Data Insights and Analytics team; work as the in‑between for our development and marketing teams.
- Support the development of audience profiles.
- Assist in efforts to join data across multiple databases and platforms.
- Use the data from multiple sources to curate a holistic view of our clients and their journey through the pre‑sales, sales, and customer lifecycles.
- Troubleshooting errors in SQL, Power BI, and other tools.
- Assisting in the extraction and transformation of data from various marketing tools including BigQuery, Looker Studio Pro, Campaign Manager 360, DV360, GA4/Analytics 360, and GTM 360 for use in our primary reporting suite.
- Providing guidance in the setup of various marketing tools to improve the collection and accuracy of our data.
Accountabilities
- Ownership of Marketing’s performance reports; used by internal teams and external agencies.
- Accountable for the data accuracy and quality control processes related to the reports.
- Delivering insights that drive smarter, data‑informed decisions.
- Analytics and data visualization to guide business strategy and elevate marketing performance.
- Support the creation and refinement of audience profiles, attribution tracking, and conduct funnel analysis to optimise marketing performance.
- Support data integration and reporting across Power BI, BigQuery, Looker Studio Pro, Google Analytics 4 / Analytics 360, GTM 360, Campaign Manager 360 / DV360.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and consistency across tools and reports.
- Collaborate to develop curated datasets for external agency use.
- Lead reporting automation and optimise workflows.
- Participate in vendor check‑ins and help translate business needs into technical tasks.
- Create planning/forecasting models and explain the implications of suggestions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in a data analyst or marketing analytics role.
- Strong understanding of offline media (e.g., radio, OOH) and digital channels (e.g., search, programmatic, video, social, organic search); knowledge of media metrics (Impressions, Reach, CPM, CTR, CPC, CPL, ROAS).
- Experienced with Power BI and SQL data transformations and querying.
- Advanced knowledge of Google BigQuery, Looker Studio / Looker Studio Pro, GA4 / Google Analytics 360.
- Understanding of digital marketing metrics, campaign tracking, and attribution.
- Ability to communicate data insights clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting or working alongside marketing teams or agencies.
- Comfortable juggling multiple stakeholders and working cross‑functionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other BI tools.
- Exposure to data governance or security best practices.
- Experience with tagging, UTM strategy, or conversion tracking setups.
- Experience in marketing mix modelling (MMM), predictive attribution, and other attribution models (multi‑touch, data‑driven).
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Insights.
- Familiarity with GTM / GTM 360.
- Familiarity with CM360 and DV360 (nice to have).
