Job Position: Marketing Coordinator
Position: permanent, full-time (40 hours a week), physically based in-office at 1801 Hollis, Halifax.

HOW YOU’LL BE INVOLVED
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will work closely with and actively support our business development team in the following areas:
Marketing Collateral
- Brand ambassador: Champion the use of brand standards and templated material, helping teams present a confident, unified voice to internal and external audiences.
- Lead development of EastPoint’s internal monthly eNewsletter, The Blueprint, driving story selection, content flow, and contributor engagement.
- Draft EastPoint branded CVs for new hires, support ongoing maintenance.
- Contribute to the creation and updating of marketing materials across teams.
- Manage the employee headshots program and coordinate project photography needs.
External Marketing
- Social media leadership: Own the coordination and content posting for LinkedIn and Instagram. Drive a proactive content strategy, surface great stories, draft posts for review, manage accounts, and integrate quality processes.
- Events and conferences: Support, track, and attend industry events (abstracts, sponsorships, presentations). Be a visible on-the-ground representative who enjoys connecting with partners and clients.
- Support, track, and attend events and conferences (e.g. abstracts, sponsorships, presentations, physical presence at event)
- Manage the calendar of planned activities and coordinate involvement across teams.
- Support website content and updates.
- Track and contribute to award submissions.
Business Development Support
- Support Project Managers with select deliverables (presentations, branded report elements, meeting notes, copyediting).
- Provide back-up support for EastPoint’s BD inboxes and proposal folder creation.
- Support market research and preparation of client qualification packages.
- Provide graphic design for covers, organization charts, and basic diagrams.
- Draft or source content to support proposal requirements.

- A visual communicator: You understand that compelling marketing material pairs strong writing with clear visual communication. You identify when a diagram, infographic, or timeline will convey information more effectively than text alone, and you’re eager to explore new tools and techniques that elevate how information is presented.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience & Education: Minimum 2–4 years of related experience; a Degree or Diploma in business or related studies (e.g., marketing, public relations, communications, journalism). Experience in a STEM organization or professional services firm is an asset.
- Communication & Writing: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated writing ability. Comfortable engaging across teams, interviewing subject matter experts, and shaping clear, compelling content. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to provide writing samples.
- Social Media & Events: Proficiency with Instagram and LinkedIn, including content development, scheduling, and platform engagement. Experience supporting or coordinating events, conferences, or industry engagements is an asset.
- Organization & Initiative: Proactive, self-directed approach with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate moving parts, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Digital Tools & Design: Strong understanding of communication tools, trends, and technology. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is preferred; strong Canva skills are also acceptable. Proficient in Microsoft software including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
