Job Description / Duties

Leadership
⦁ Lead, mentor, and support a team of Marketing Brokers in placing risks with appropriate insurers.
⦁ Oversee daily operations, workload distribution, and performance metrics for the marketing team.
⦁ Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
⦁ Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and goal-setting sessions.
⦁ Monitor and manage team KPIs, productivity, and service standards.
⦁ Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes continuous learning and innovation.
⦁ Resolve escalated issues related to market placement, broker conduct, or client concerns.
⦁ Facilitate training and development initiatives to enhance broker expertise and market knowledge.
⦁ Act as a liaison between the Marketing Brokers and the Producers.

Commercial/ Agriculture Lines Book Management
⦁ Maintain a portfolio of commercial and/or agriculture clients across various industries.
⦁ Assess client needs, develop tailored insurance solutions, and negotiate terms with insurers.
⦁ Provide expert advice on coverage options, risk management strategies, and claims support.
⦁ Conduct regular reviews of client accounts to ensure coverage adequacy and identify upselling opportunities.
⦁ Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to enhance client portfolios.
⦁ Handle complex accounts and provide guidance on specialized coverage needs.

Market Placement Strategy
⦁ Develop and implement effective market placement strategies for complex and high-value risks.
⦁ Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and underwriters.
⦁ Stay current with market trends, underwriting appetite, and emerging products.
⦁ Collaborate with brokers to resolve placement challenges and secure optimal terms.

Operational & Compliance Oversight
⦁ Ensure all placements and documentation meet regulatory and internal compliance standards.
⦁ Collaborate with operations teams to implement process improvements.
⦁ Review and approve submissions, proposals, and binders prepared by the Broker team.
⦁ Support audits and reporting requirements as needed.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualifications/Skills:
⦁ CAIB designation or level 2 license working towards CAIB designation.
⦁ Experience leading and motivating staff and proven track record of exceptional customer service.
⦁ 2-3 years’ experience with Commercial lines and/or Agricultural Book of Business
⦁ Proven track record of leadership in overseeing teams, departments, or locations within the insurance sector.
⦁ Demonstrated strong knowledge of market products, wordings, and technical underwriting.
⦁ Demonstrated experience in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and general proficiency with computers.
⦁ Ability to establish professional working relationships with marketing brokers, Underwriters and Insurance Advisors.
⦁ Superior interpersonal skills both oral and written.
⦁ Ability to balance multiple duties.
⦁ Demonstrated ability to produce error-free correspondence.
⦁ Superior listening and comprehension skills.
⦁ Skilled at assessing customer needs and delivering solutions.
⦁ Ability to work independently and part of a team.
