About the Opportunity

Manage the entire tax function of the firm including:

  • Compliance, improving the overall tax filing process
  • Keep abreast with tax research
  • Review all tax returns ensuring quality control
  • Oversee all correspondence with CRA
  • Participate on tax research and tax planning engagements
About You
  • Completed an undergraduate degree and CPA or CPA, CA or
  • Currently a Tax Manager with 3-5+ years of experience within a Public Accounting tax environment, ideally the tax department of a major accounting firm with no preference on industry
  • Completion of CPA In-depth tax course or graduated from the MTax program
  • Excellent knowledge of Canadian tax laws and IFRS tax accounting and reporting
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing complex tax provisions and Canadian corporate tax returns
  • Experience with tax compliance, filings and Quality Control
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Team oriented, collaborative working style
