Overview

At KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world.

As a lead member, you will work closely with KPMG Partners on tax planning initiatives and requirements. Your organizational skills will enable you to direct the work of junior staff, including reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness. Additionally, you will research and prepare tax-planning strategies for our clients and take the lead on the preparation of tax returns. The ideal candidate enjoys the spotlight and sets the standard for junior staff by providing ongoing support and opportunities for professional development.

What You Will Do

  1. Lead client engagements.
  2. Work closely with a Partner as a senior team member on tax planning work for clients.
  3. Plan and organize teams for the preparation of tax returns and conduct and present tax research.
  4. Review the work of junior staff for accuracy and completeness.
  5. Become part of the tax engagement team in servicing the planning and compliance needs of clients.
  6. Provide ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of staff.
  7. Work with other office members in attracting new work to the firm.

What You Bring To The Role

  1. Minimum 5 years specializing in tax in a public accounting firm.
  2. Professional accounting designation or equivalent.
  3. Enrolled in or completed the CPA In-Depth Tax Course.
  4. Excellent people management skills.
  5. Highly motivated individual with a desire for growth.
  6. Excellent client service skills with the ability to understand the client's business.
  7. Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism in the performance of duties.
  8. Emphasis on quality and adding value in their client offerings and services.
  9. Strong project management and organizational skills.
  10. Effectively manages conflicting demands and priorities.
  11. Gives others the opportunity to take on new tasks and responsibilities.
  12. Able to instill enthusiasm in others to achieve desired results.
  13. Able to provide self-assured responses to challenging questions.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $73,500 to $123,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
