Restaurant Manager
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast‑paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high‑quality service across casual, fine dining, or catering settings. The Restaurant Manager will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and fostering a positive team environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate restaurant staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and quality control.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Ensure proper food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards are maintained at all times.
- Oversee shift management to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours.
- Implement staff training programs focused on food safety, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Manage budgeting responsibilities related to labor costs, supplies, and overall restaurant expenses.
- Coordinate catering events or banquet services when applicable.
- Lead efforts in training & development initiatives to enhance team skills and performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment aligned with health regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management roles with supervising experience.
- Strong knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, food production, and kitchen management.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential.
- Experience in various dining settings, including casual dining, fine dining, quick‑service & fast food restaurants, catering, or hotel environments is preferred.
- Culinary experience or kitchen management background is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train & develop staff effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in inventory control and budgeting.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and food safety protocols.
- Previous experience in managing shifts efficiently within a fast‑paced environment is required.
