What will your typical day look like?

As a Global Supplier Sustainability Manager (GSSM), you will be responsible for managing the integration of the procurement sustainability strategy within the Travel procurement category group and the Sustainable Aviation Fuel certificates (SAFc) category.

You will:

  • Lead and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships in the Travel category group, SAFc, and an assigned region, including key contacts related to sustainability, ensuring region- or country-specific activity is supported.
  • Proactively assess the current state of supplier sustainability activities across the assigned category, with key focus on carbon emissions reduction/mitigation, and influence stakeholders to support changes and improvements where required.
  • Develop and establish supplier development programs to educate on supply chain sustainability, reduce supplier operational emissions, and improve emissions reporting.
  • Collaborate with the other GSSMs to define supplier sustainability commonalities across the network to align program objectives while also accommodating necessary local variation.
  • Ensure that the supplier sustainability strategy is executed across category, sourcing, contracting, supplier relationship management, activity reporting efforts, and key sustainability projects and special projects related to sustainability.
  • Be actively responsible for category-specific support including data analysis, supplier assessment, selection, performance, and management of a customized RFP process, supplier selection model, and contract verbiage to support the selection of appropriate suppliers.
  • Manage and partner with team members across different geographies to meet established sustainability goals and ensure cohesive strategic execution; mentor and coach junior staff to foster continuous learning and improvement.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supplier management or related field
  • BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or equivalent relevant experience
  • Subject matter expertise in Supplier Sustainability, Travel, SAFc and demonstrated experience with a supplier sustainability program
  • Persuasive and convincing communication and presentation skills with ability to engage senior executives to influence decisions
  • Excellent data and analytics execution skills (e.g., complex TCO modelling) and robust experience with ERP procurement and data visualization tools (e.g., Spend Visibility, Tableau, etc.)

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $156,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
