Job Description

The Group Risk Specialist provides a comprehensive and diverse range of risk management expertise to business leaders. Leads and supports the implementation of appropriate risk frameworks and related management activities to mitigate enterprise and/or business-wide risk exposures for key business segment of the Bank or functional area.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support implementation of risk frameworks and management activities to mitigate enterprise and/or business-wide risk exposures.
  • Provide oversight, commentary, and recommendations based on overall strategy and industry best practices.
  • Act as second line of defense risk management and oversight of Non-Model/End-User-Computing Tool (EUC) risk.
  • Govern Non-Model/EUC risk through compliance oversight, issue management, and maintenance of program artifacts.
  • Integrate knowledge across functions to develop solutions and recommend best practices.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams or projects with significant resource requirements, risk, and complexity.
  • Manage end-to-end functional programs and solve complex problems.
  • Communicate difficult concepts and influence senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate and 7+ years relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management governance, programs, policies, practices, operating frameworks, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of risk management environment, standards, regulations, and mitigation.
  • Ability to establish goals and objectives supporting the strategic plan.
  • Leadership experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs or projects.
  • Advanced analytical skills using data analysis methods and reporting techniques.
  • Proficiency with computer applications including MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills in both oral and written.
