The Calgary TELUS Convention Centre is looking to hire a full-time Manager, Capital Maintenance and Replacements, in the Facility Management and Capital Improvements department. Reporting to the Director, Facility Management and Capital Improvements, the Manager, Capital Maintenance and Replacements, is responsible for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing projects that relate to infrastructure and equipment repairs and replacements that meet CTCC capital thresholds. This position is responsible for following project management best practices, engaging meaningfully with external interested parties, working alongside external contractors as well as internal functional department management and employees to produce project deliverables as per approved project management plans, ensuring that CTCC business is not impacted, CTCC standards are maintained, and CTCC health and safety protocols are met.
Accountability - Sets enhanced objectives for self and others. Monitors performance trends and identifies opportunities to improve standards. Provides regular feedback and suggests alternative approaches necessary to ensure that organizational objectives and superior standards are achieved. Delegates responsibility and reallocates resources as needed to ensure that priorities are met for initiatives within area of responsibility.

Oversees a wide range of projects varying in scope, high influence, risk, cost, and internal stakeholder(s) and/or external partners. Evaluates project and manages database of lessons learned.
Risk Management - Manages highly sensitive complex situations. Conducts risk assessment when identifying or recommending strategic and tactical options. Develops and implements contingency plans in highly complex and sensitive situations where errors have a high level of consequences.
