Reporting directly to the Program Director, Diagnostic Imaging, The Manager, Business Operations & Analytics is an integral member of the Diagnostic Imaging Program’s leadership team. The successful candidate will excel in:
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing the front desk, clerical, and analytic operations for diagnostic imaging across all three THP sites.
- Achieving the highest quality of patient-centered care and exceptional experience that aligns with THP strategic goals of quality, access, and sustainability.
- Leading workplace transformation within an inter-professional team environment to advance healthy workplace collaboration amongst employees and physicians and harmonization of processes.
- Critical and strategic thinking to lead complex cultural change in a fast-paced environment and deliver sustainable effective and efficient results.
- Supporting operational effectiveness within a diverse clinical team to maximize resource utilization.
- Collaborating with modality leads to identify and advance change initiatives to promote pandemic recovery and stabilization.
- Monitoring variances related to volumes, utilization, etc. to identify and implement proactive process improvement opportunities.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership to plan, coordinate and effectively manage resources (e.g., patient scheduling, in-patient scheduling, discharge planning, access, and flow as it relates to diagnostic imaging)
- Reviewing, analyzing and applying data to support decision-making and continuously improve quality as well as innovative planning to achieve performance targets
- Leading process improvement initiatives in diagnostic imaging to achieve long-term success.
- Collaborating with diagnostic imaging clinical managers to optimize operations
- Leading and managing direct reports assigned.
- Actively participating in committees, both internal and external, to promote collaboration and coordination of services with all stakeholders and partners
Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate degree in Business, Health Focus, or other relevant training
- Master’s degree in business administration, health administration or current registration in a Graduate program strongly preferred.
- PMP designation strongly preferred.
- Minimum five years of progressive management/leadership experience in business or clinical operations. Experience with diagnostic imaging is an asset.
- Lean certification or equivalent process improvement methodology is preferred.
- Record of accomplishment in innovative and successful program development preferred.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity in a complex and fast-paced environment
- Proven success in managing change and transforming workplace culture with the ability to establish positive relationships.
- Proven ability to successfully manage multiple and competing priorities.
- Effective team building and creative thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, negotiation, conflict resolution and decision-making skills are essential to collaborate with highly skilled staff such as physicians, nurses and students
- Advanced working knowledge of computers and relevant software with solid knowledge and experience of working with large databases to extract reports and understand trends.
- Excellent performance and attendance record required.
