The role involves maintaining and repairing machinery and electrical systems, interpreting drawings, and implementing safety inspections. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, preferably a Red Seal Millwright, and at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. This position offers full-time employment with compensation ranging from $23.34 to $29.17 per hour.

Job Type: Full Time, Temp to Perm

Compensation: $23.34-$29.17/hour

About the Company

Our client is the leading manufacturer of material handling systems including airport baggage handling and automotive assembly components, conveyors, electronic controls and related automation.

They are expanding at a rapid rate and are seeking to add a Maintenance Technician Helper to their dynamic team!

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical control diagrams to determine the layout of industrial electrical and mechanical equipment installations
  • Maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems
  • Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs
  • Install, examine, replace or repair receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
  • Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning and replacing fixtures
  • Plan, organize, coordinate and direct services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking lot, safety inspections, security, landscaping, and snow removal
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Red Seal Millwright preferred but also open to candidates who are in the process of obtaining certification
  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience within a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
