Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems; strong initiative and attention to detail;

• Knowledge of AV and computer systems; a willingness to adapt to new technology;

• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs, must be in good physical condition;

Required Training and Experience

Duties Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on, guest-oriented individual that considers themselves a “jack-of-all-trades” type. Using power tools and hand tools, our maintenance team provides general labour, maintenance assistance and preventative maintenance functions for the Maintenance Department of the hotel.

Duties

• Maintain the overall good repair of hotel rooms including all facilities, furnishings and fixtures;
• Complete all work orders as assigned and in a timely manner;
• Repair and maintain hotel room heating/ventilation system;
• Perform general plumbing tasks as required to repair sinks, toilets, tubs/showers;
• Assist with renovation projects and upgrades;
• Assist with maintaining the kitchen, laundry, pool, spa, and fitness areas & equipment;
• Communicate effectively with all other departments in the hotel, including housekeeping, front desk, and F&B;
• Ensure upkeep of the common areas and grounds;
• Perform scheduled routine maintenance on equipment;
• Respond to guest and staff requests in rooms and public spaces;
• Use both power and hand tools in a safe, efficient manner;
• Perform other related duties as requested by the Maintenance Manager or Executive Team;
