Description

Machine Operator / General Labour

Shift: Day shift

Pay Rate: $20.70 / hour

Immediate start!

Associates will be responsible for moulding fiberglass shells, cutting, laminating, and assembling production parts to meet quality standards and production timelines.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Physical requirements: Lifting up to 30 lbs, with some parts being awkward to handle.

High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines are essential.

Required certifications: Forklift license.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Loading and unloading fiberglass materials using a crane to the charge table.
  • Moulding parts with a hot press, handling raw materials (up to 30 lbs), and unloading moulded parts.
  • Spraying shells for lamination by hand.
  • Laminating cloth onto shells using manual methods and lamination presses.
  • Edge wrapping parts, turning cloth over edges, cutting, and gluing into place.
  • Assembling brackets, lights, and speakers onto shells using rivets, glue, screws, and grommets with appropriate tools.
  • Cutting Velcro and cloth with scissors as needed.
  • Operating Water Jet cutting machine as required.
  • Trimming carpet edges on parts.
  • Gluing accessories to parts using a hot glue gun.
  • Packaging finished parts for shipment.
  • Painting edges of parts with a small roller.
  • Completing all paperwork accurately and promptly.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with small components.
  • Valid forklift certificate.
