Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduire en équipe ou en convoi.
  • Opérer des camions rigides ou articulés pour transporter des marchandises.
  • Surveiller l'état du véhicule et inspecter les équipements.
  • Enregistrer les informations sur le cargaison et la consommation de carburant.
  • Transporter et manipuler des marchandises dangereuses.

Tasks
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
