Your Opportunity at SECURE

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating shipments and supporting the logistic activities to deliver the products to market. This role interacts with the Secure Metals Recycling management team and the external customer to ensure order fulfilment activities are completed and all commercial documentation is completed.

Work Environment

This is a full time position working Monday to Friday and is based out of Red Deer, AB.

A Day in The Life
  • Day to day shipment duties
  • Tracing and maintaining fleet information
  • Coordinate commercial paperwork for customs
  • Coordinate and maintaining accurate data and information
  • Working with customers and team to ensure fulfillment of agreements
  • Follow established Shipping and Purchase Order Placement procedures
  • Data entry and records retention
  • Coding freight invoices
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • 1-5 years of related experience
  • Proven experience with dispatch and scheduling functions
  • Post‑secondary education in a field related to Logistics is preferred
  • Basic accounting knowledge and records management experience would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge and experience with railcar shipments would be an asset
  • Intermediate working knowledge of software applications; Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to multi‑task and prioritize
  • Strong attention to detail and superior interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to provide consistent levels of customer service to internal and external clients
  • Ability and willingness to work positively within a team
