Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Loading Shovel Operator to provide ad hoc temporary cover for our client's site based in Southampton. This is a hands-on role involving operating a loading shovel and supporting the team with general site duties as required.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate a loading shovel safely and efficiently on site.
2. Carry out additional site duties to support the wider team and site plan.
3. Work closely with the team and follow instructions from the Site Manager.
4. Ensure high levels of plant availability and performance.
5. Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) procedures.
6. Conduct routine checks to ensure all machinery operates safely and effectively.
7. Maintain good housekeeping and contribute to a safe working environment.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience operating a Loading Shovel in a similar environment.
• Valid ticket/certification for operating Loading Shovel (e.g., NPORS or CPCS).
• Strong understanding of site health and safety practices.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to undertake other duties to support site operations.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
