A leading health care service provider in Alberta is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide quality patient care within an interprofessional team. The ideal candidate will utilize critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and adhere to established policies. A practical nurse education program completion and BCLS certification are required. This role offers part-time temporary employment at Devon General Hospital, with shifts covering various hours including days and nights.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Provide safe, patient- and family-centered nursing care within an interprofessional team. Apply nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making in daily practice. Adhere to AHS policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned within the scope of the LPN role.
Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
