Job summary

A mid-size law firm in downtown Toronto is seeking an Executive Legal Assistant to support their employment litigation practice. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role, particularly in litigation, and possess strong skills in Microsoft Office 365. This hybrid position requires 3 days in-office work. Responsibilities include managing client files, providing administrative support, and maintaining high-quality work. Downtown Toronto
Hybrid work from home - 2 days a week!

Our client, a highly regarded mid size law firm located in the core of downtown Toronto is hiring! They are looking for a bright, energetic Executive Legal Assistant to support its busy employment litigation practice.

This role is for someone who has the ability to take initiative, prioritize, and multitask. For optimal success, the right person must be in the office three days a week.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external clients
  • Manage client file openings
  • Provide administrative support with respect to docketing, billing,
  • Assisting with document production (i.e. pleadings, motion records, facta and book of authorities, etc) court filings, scheduling meetings, etc
  • Coordinating with process servers and court offices
  • Calendar management, travel arrangements
  • Produce the highest quality of work and accountable for all work assigned
Requirements
  • 7+ years previous experience as a Legal Assistant. Litigation experience in employment law is a must!
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office 365 Suite of applications
  • Excellent communication, organization and proofreading skills a must
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients.
  • Knowledge of the rules of Civil Procedure
  • Successful completion of a Law Clerk program from a recognized College
  • Handle time pressure and stress of multiple demands
