Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Learning Management Administrator and Content Creator to oversee the administration of our Learning Management System (LMS) and create engaging, high-quality learning content (creating original content and reformatting existing content). In this hybrid role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the LMS, ensure smooth content delivery, and collaborate with subject matter experts to design and implement innovative learning experiences.

How you will make a difference:

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:

  • Manage and configure the LMS for optimal performance.
  • Oversee user account management, including enrolling, assigning, and tracking learners, including third party content.
  • Assist with the integration of external content or third-party tools into the LMS platform.
  • Ensure the integrity of course content and troubleshoot technical issues related to the LMS.
  • Provide user support and training to both learners and instructors on the use of the LMS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test system functionality.
  • Organize, manage and maintain course content library and assets.
  • Generate and maintain reports on learner activity, course completions, and overall learning effectiveness.
  • Manage the scheduling and deployment of online and instructor-led training sessions.
  • Monitor and report on learner progress, engagement, and performance metrics.

Content Creation and Course Design:

  • Develop and create engaging instructional materials, including e-learning modules, videos, quizzes, presentations, and other multimedia content.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and structure course content that aligns with learning objectives.
  • Continuously update and improve course content based on feedback and best practices in instructional design.
  • Ensure content is visually appealing, interactive, and accessible for all learners (according to WCAG 2.2 standards).

Other Duties:

  • Stay current with trends and advancements in e-learning technologies and instructional design methodologies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (HR, IT, and department heads) to align learning initiatives with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in instructional design or related field.
  • A minimum of two years’ work experience in e-learning-based instructional design.
  • Experience with audio video production editing an asset.
  • Proven experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Dayforce, Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, etc.).
  • Experience in content creation, instructional design, and multimedia production such as Storyline, Rise, Canva, and Powtoon or similar.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and other e-learning standard file types (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite.
