Job description

As a Lead Field Service Technician - HVAC / Fire / Security Controls, you will work with critical building management, Fire, HVAC, and security systems, with the opportunity to work on a range of commercial and government buildings, healthcare facilities. In this role, you will help our customers utilize technology to improve productivity and increase the value of services provided. You will report directly to our Sr. Field Service Supervisor and work on customer sites throughout Saskatchewan.

The primary focus is to provide ongoing service support for Honeywell’s Commercial Controls Building Automation, Fire, and Security systems.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, and Emergency Support for customer's Honeywell Quality Control Systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and process-related issues.
  • Perform sensor verification and calibration.
  • Provide critical reports to customers, including Monthly Performance, Results Reports, and Corrective Action Reports.
  • Engage with customers at all levels to ensure satisfaction through effective communication.
  • Provide 7x24 emergency support to customers and technicians on a rotational schedule with other Honeywell Technicians.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in building automation / HVAC controls, including RTU, AHU, Boiler, and VAV Control systems, Honeywell Fire alarm systems, and Honeywell access control systems.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Availability to provide on-call support on a rotational schedule as required.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Degree or diploma in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with basic Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work safely within Honeywell / Customer HSE requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team without direct supervision.
  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to learn and utilize analysis tools to solve complex problems.
  • Design and engineer solutions to prevent recurring issues as knowledge is gained.
  • Experience in writing, reviewing, and editing technical reports.
  • Ability to conduct formal meetings with customer management.
  • Knowledge of control system architecture, operations, and relevant database items for maintenance and calibration.
  • Positive and confident attitude focused on exceeding customer expectations.
  • Availability for on-call support on a rotational schedule.
