A leading construction firm in Fredericton is seeking a dedicated individual to assist in the steel fabrication process. This role involves loading steel beams, securing loads, and using overhead cranes in a fast-paced outdoor environment. Applicants should have a high school diploma, ability to work outdoors in all weather, and preferably some experience in warehouse settings. Incorporated in 1955, Ocean Steel services several markets, including Atlantic Canada, the Eastern United States, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Although they specialize in fabricating and erecting structural steel for buildings and bridges, they also manufacture and install platework, such as breechings, stacks, ducts, penstocks, process & storage tanks and custom process‑equipment. Ocean Steel’s two New Brunswick plants include the original location in Saint John, as well as the York Steel Plant in Fredericton, which was acquired by Ocean Steel in 1995.
