ONA is seeking to hire a Labour Relations Officer for our Member Education Team (MET). Reporting to the Senior Manager of Member Education / Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, monitoring, and evaluating provincial education initiatives that align with organizational and membership policies, the membership strategic plan, and meet ONA members' needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, assessing, and updating course curricula and educational programs in compliance with strategic plans and standards.
  • Planning, delivering, and evaluating learning sessions, workshops, and presentations to meet learning objectives.
  • Collaborating to develop communication frameworks for informing members and staff about scheduled workshops.
  • Creating evaluation processes with feedback loops for service teams and members.
  • Identifying skill, knowledge, and resource gaps.
  • Assessing risks and opportunities related to meeting strategic priorities and goals.
  • Modifying learning plans based on feedback and current best practices.
  • Partnering with other teams to support their needs and develop relevant content using subject matter experts.
  • Developing, evaluating, and facilitating staff orientation and onboarding programs.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma as a Registered Health Professional and/or in Labour/Industrial Relations.
  • Post-secondary education in Adult Education or actively pursuing such designation is preferred.
  • Certificate in Project Management is an asset.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in needs-based educational program development, design, and implementation.
  • Experience in designing, facilitating, and managing organizational initiatives to achieve outcomes.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills to meet members' needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of database applications.
  • Bilingual in English/French is an asset.

The candidate must be able to travel, possess a valid driver’s license, and have access to a vehicle for business use.
