A local youth-serving organization in Ottawa is seeking a Junior Youth Worker to assist in delivering community programs that benefit children and youth ages 6-18. The ideal candidate will have experience in program delivery and will act as a positive role model. Responsibilities include supporting program activities, managing the front desk, and advocating for youth. This part-time position offers $16.60 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours work per week.

Working closely with YDPSs, the Junior Youth Worker will play a supportive role in assisting in the delivery of exceptional programs and positive leadership to children and youth. Junior Youth workers assist in the planning, organizing and delivery of BGCO programs that are designed to develop assets and facilitate the personal, social and emotional development of young people between the ages of 6-18.
Required Education, Training and Experience
These are the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. The majority of the work is performed in an environment that is mostly, clean and comfortable. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision on a computer screen for a large part of the working day. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
