Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering specializing in structural design from a recognized university.
• Registered (or eligible to become registered) with EGBC.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience required, preferably in an engineering consulting environment.
• Existing construction experience including field inspection would be considered an asset.
• Experience in the water resource and hydroelectric field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform site inspections and condition assessments.
• Carry out structural design and analysis.
• Assist ongoing construction projects with construction support.
• Prepare deliverables including reports, calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with external consultants and vendors.

Skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Problem solving and analytical skills

Working knowledge of AutoCAD

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Construction experience including field inspection

Education

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering specializing in structural design
