Junior Project Coordinator

Job Type

Full Time, Co-op, Starts May 2026, four (4) and/or eight (8) month duration

Interviews Start

mid-January 2026 (only successful candidates will be notified)

Schedule

10 + Hours/day 6 & 1 Rotation, Schedule as per Operational Requirements, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Hard‑working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions

Requirements
  • Personal Reliable Vehicle
  • CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract, Valid Driver’s License
Pre‑employment
  • Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
  • Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
Junior Project Coordinator overview
  • Work closely with and assist the Project Manager and Construction Manager, where applicable, in the day to day duties of the project’s administration.
  • Monitor field work, including contract work, to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications and codes.
  • Act as liaison with subcontractors in expediting drawings and related information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs (Vendor/Subcontractor, Purchase, Owner, etc.), track responses and advise of the status of any changes.
  • Understand and perform document control functions in accordance with on-site policy and procedures, transmitting and tracking of submittals, compose agreements, and maintain project expediting list.
  • Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.

Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a Civil Engineering program at a post-secondary institute.
  • Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials, and required standards applicable to discipline.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Trimble tsc3/tsc7.
  • Effective and professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as, being an independent self‑starter
  • Must display and promote a continuous regard to safety.
