Position: Jr Occupational Health and Safety Representative

Location: Port Coquitlam BC

Compensation: $50k-$60k / annually based on experience

Responsibilities
  • Support and promote Lordcos OHS program
  • Visit stores to engage with staff at all levels through safety discussions and training
  • Participate in site inspections, make recommendations and take action to eliminate or reduce risk and increase safety awareness
  • Assist with maintaining records of monthly safety meetings, inspections and trainings
  • Assist in creating safety training materials and safe work procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and investigations to support compliance with applicable WorkSafe BC and Alberta OHS legislation
  • Lead by example
  • Other tasks as required
Qualifications
  • You are a highly motivated individual with a passion for safety excellence
  • You are able to travel with overnight stays
  • You have a positive attitude to lead and influence others
  • You have strong technical skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills
