Job description
OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Junior Change Manager to support change management initiatives within the Operational Non-Financial Risk line of business. This role will support the planning, execution, and sustainment of change activities associated with business, process, and operational initiatives.

The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders, project teams, and impacted stakeholders to ensure changes are clearly understood, effectively adopted, and sustainably embedded. This position is well suited for an early-career professional with foundational change management experience who is eager to grow within a structured, regulated financial services environment.

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – approximately 3 days in office, flexible)
Contract Length: 6 Months
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Pay: T4 $40/hour, IC: $46/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the delivery of change management activities from initiation through implementation and sustainment to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Engage stakeholders and impacted audiences to build awareness, understanding, and adoption of change initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and executing change strategies, including communications, training, and engagement plans.
  • Analyze the scope and impact of change across people, processes, technology, financials, and risk considerations.
  • Identify potential resistance and support the development of mitigation strategies to address adoption challenges.
  • Support communications planning by helping analyze audiences, develop key messages, and select appropriate channels and timing.
  • Track and monitor adoption metrics and change effectiveness; elevate risks or issues as needed.
  • Provide analytical, documentation, and coordination support to change managers and project teams.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings, workshops, and working sessions; prepare summaries, materials, and follow-ups.
  • Apply established change management methodologies and project delivery practices to assigned initiatives.
  • Exercise judgment within defined guidelines to identify issues, analyze information, and support solution recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to ensure alignment across initiatives and consistency of messaging.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in change management, project coordination, or related roles.
  • Ability to lead or support calls and meetings with stakeholders.
  • Foundational understanding of project delivery practices across the project lifecycle.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated collaboration and teamwork skills.
PREFERRED
  • Exposure to risk management, operational risk, or control environments.
  • Previous experience within a financial institution (preferably a large or regulated enterprise).
  • Prior project management or project coordination experience.
EDUCATION
  • Post‑secondary degree in Business, Management, Communications, or a related discipline.
