Job summary

A local school district in Fraser Valley is looking for a Journeyman Electrician to manage installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Candidates must have a Grade 12 diploma and a BC Trades Qualification in Electrical, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience. The position offers a wage of $36.95 per hour and is temporary until August 14, 2026. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of recent trades related experience.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required.
  • Working knowledge of WHMIS and WorkSafe BC regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, modify, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems and repair as necessary.
  • Participate in preventive maintenance inspections.
