A leading hospitality provider in Jasper is seeking a Driver Guide for the Columbia Icefield Adventure. This role involves providing exceptional interpretive tours while operating vehicles safely. Jasper AB Driver Guide Class 2 Training Provided

Pursuit Collection – Jasper, AB. $20.50 per hour. Seasonal, full-time.

What will be your daily pursuit? In Class 2 MELT training you will be provided with coaching to complete the required written and driving tests to obtain your Class 2 driver's license and Q (Air brakes) license. This training will be completed over a 3-week period in Banff. Once completed, you will be moved on-site for the required operational training before driving with passengers.

As a Driver Guide, you will contribute to making the Columbia Icefield Adventure and Columbia Icefield Skywalk experiences memorable, entertaining and informative as possible for guests visiting from around the globe. A Driver Guide is responsible for safely operating various types of coach buses and unique Ice Explorer vehicles while delivering high-quality interpretive tour content in a professional and interactive manner, meeting the service goals and expectations of Pursuit.

What will your compensation be? The starting salary for this position is $20.50.

When does this adventure begin? This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Spring/Summer, 2025.

What will you do in this job?

  • Providing guests with a high-quality interpretive tour experience around the Columbia Icefield and Athabasca Glacier
  • Coordinating guests and tour groups on/off Coaches and/or Ice Explorers
  • Guest surveying
  • Mechanical pre-trip/post-trip of assigned Coach or Ice Explorer
  • Daily servicing/cleaning of the interior/exterior of the assigned Coach or Ice Explorer and assisting as required for exterior cleaning
  • Ensuring all windows are kept clear and clean and passengers are properly seated during the tour
  • Safely loading and unloading passengers at the coach entrance
  • Rotating cleaning schedule of the Transfer Bay area and washrooms
  • Supporting colleagues and Loading Staff with information, managing tour groups, departures and arrivals
  • Communicating with co-workers and management, forwarding observations in a timely fashion
  • Upholding environmental stewardship standards
  • Other duties as assigned

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • Organization and time management; a passion for making a difference for each guest and employee
  • Commitment to safe, reliable and courteous operation during the Class 2 licensing process and while driving
  • Guest service-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering memorable experiences
  • Ability to think on the fly and solve problems with a positive attitude
  • Second language is an asset
  • Fluent and articulate in English; able to communicate and comprehend over two-way radio
  • Must be capable of manual duties (bend, stoop, squat and stretch); lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance
  • Enjoy working outdoors, even in challenging mountain weather conditions
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
  • Must meet grooming and appearance standards
  • Consent to a criminal record check
  • Standard First Aid or higher an asset
