Job Description

Main Duties

• Develop, maintain, and integrate coding for various client software systems
• Communicate technical problems to peers, architects, and project managers, and recommend possible solutions
• Conduct unit and regression testing
• Write and maintain documentation for internal purposes as well as for the customer
• Interact with the client when necessary
• Occasional travel to the US for client meetings

Experience Required

• Solid technical skills, especially in J2EE (JSP, Servlet, EJB, Web Services)
• 5+ years’ experience in software development using Java/J2EE technologies
• Hands-on experience with Spring, Struts, or related technologies
• Experience with front-end technologies such as JQuery, Bootstrap, etc.
• Experience with web and enterprise application development
• Strong understanding of client-server architecture and Object-Oriented Programming (UML knowledge is mandatory)
• Experience developing and implementing complex application components
• Hands-on experience with ORM frameworks like Hibernate
• Experience with Oracle database, PL/SQL, and tools like Toad, SQLPlus
• Experience deploying applications on Windows and Linux platforms
• Technical design experience (asset)
• Web Application Security and Vulnerability experience (asset)
• Proven teamwork skills and ability to work independently to drive projects to completion

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
