Investment Banking Analyst / Associate (Future Opportunities)

Role Impact

Our investment banking team of over 350 professionals across North America focuses on servicing corporate finance and financial advisory needs, including mergers & acquisitions, public offerings, private placements, and syndication. We also provide advisory services such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, fairness opinions, and valuations.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Analysts, Associates, VPs, and senior bankers across Canada and the US.
  • Conduct financial modeling and analysis, including DCF, comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses.
  • Perform industry research and data analysis.
  • Build and maintain financial models and industry databases.
  • Assist in preparing transaction documents, pitch books, and company information for business development.

Candidate Qualifications
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling.
  • Understanding of finance principles and capital markets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new applications.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, including face-to-face, email, video, and phone etiquette.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Proficiency in French is an asset.
Educational and Experience Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in a business-related discipline and / or CFA / CA / CPA / CBV designation.
  • 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or related fields.
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with Capital IQ and Bloomberg is a plus.
