You as a Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator will:

  • Be responsible for site specific safety orientation, job site inspections and accident/incident reports
  • Monitor employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance to safety procedures and elevate issues to resolution
  • Proactively identify and prevent hazardous situations and take necessary measures to correct them
  • Organize and conduct training programs including but not limited to: WHMIS, Fall Protection, Personal Protection Equipment, CPR/First Aid
  • Create, maintain, and educate all site staff on maintaining a safety first culture
  • Review of subcontractors’ pre‑construction safety submittals
  • Review and file subcontractors’ weekly safety submittals
  • Effectively compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly project health and safety statistics

Is this the right role for you?

  • You have a minimum of 3-5 years of safety construction experience in ICI buildings
  • You have the ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations
  • You are working towards, or are already certified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act/Regulations with experience working on a construction site
