The opportunity

At EY Canada’s in‑house Creative Studio, great design is a strategic force that drives business outcomes, builds reputation, and creates meaningful client experiences. You will work across teams to provide creativity, enthusiasm and collaboration that helps deliver exceptional quality, win in the market, and support EY’s growth.

Your key responsibilities
  • Understand and use EY brand standards, develop leading‑edge designs and innovative ideas.
  • Create layouts with strong typography and image selection, ensuring readability and effective communication.
  • Work with internal clients (Brand Marketing, Business Development, and other EY Canada teams) to select effective design solutions.
  • Support the Creative Director, Design Director or Senior Designers with creative projects and production deliverables.
  • Maintain high proficiency with industry software and apps.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in digital and print deliverables (pre‑press, document optimisation, interactive elements).
  • Share best practices and current techniques within the design community.
  • Participate in project meetings and discussions on design trends and case studies.
  • Understand project lifecycle stages, anticipate scope creep, communicate updates, and manage deadline risks.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for production of external products and services.
  • Adhere strictly to Creative Studio quality standards and procedures.
  • Overtime will be required as needed.
Skills and attributes for success
  • Experience in layout and editorial design.
  • Strong background in typography.
  • Flexibility to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Collaborative, team‑first mentality.
  • Willingness to learn, take on new projects and challenges.
  • Proficient in Mac OS and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office PowerPoint.
  • Experience with After Effects, Premiere Pro or motion graphics an asset but not required.
  • Commitment to a strong team culture and success.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Building and maintaining productive relationships.
  • Sound judgement regarding confidential matters.
  • Ability to meet multiple and unexpected deadlines in a demanding environment.

Salary range for this position in British Columbia is $65,600 to $98,400, with individual salaries determined by factors such as education, experience, skills, and work location.
