Job Description

Fiix was acquired by Rockwell Automation in December 2020. Our relationship with Rockwell gives us access to more resources, connections and expertise in the industrial automation space while maintaining our individuality and creative freedom as a high-growth SaaS company. This acquisition allows Fiix to offer the best of both worlds to our employees.

Role

As an Integration Specialist, you will design and develop integrations using the Boomi platform, connecting applications, data sources, and systems to enable seamless data flow and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with technical and project teams to understand requirements, build scalable integration workflows, and troubleshoot issues across project phases. You will report to the Manager – Integrations. For the right candidate, this position could be worked remotely from any location in the US or Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Develop Boomi integrations following best practices and based on the Functional Design Document (FDD).
  • Review customer data to ensure alignment with the documented design and integration assumptions.
  • Identify and communicate new or evolving requirements.
  • Deploy integrations to test and production environments in coordination with the team.
  • Create and maintain mapping specifications for all integration process flows.
  • Define and document validation steps, logging, and alerting mechanisms as part of the integration design.
  • Outline and document potential expansion options within the integration scope.
  • Develop test plans and test cases to validate functionality and ensure successful delivery.
Essentials — You will have
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Preferred — You may also have
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in system integration, with a strong focus on Boomi development and API-based solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and documenting scalable, reusable integration frameworks — particularly with Fiix or similar platforms.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical requirements to customers throughout project phases.
  • Experience assisting with Atom/Molecule setup, including sizing, architecture, and deployment planning.
  • Familiarity with change control processes and escalation to pre-sales or architectural roles.
  • Comfort working with pre-sales to define and position standardized packaged integrations.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot issues and optimize integration performance.
  • Clear, concise documentation skills for data mapping, API behaviour, and integration limitations.
  • Experience providing Level 3 support for integration-related escalations.
  • Bonus: exposure to SAP Integration Suite, PI/PO, or integration projects involving SAP HANA or NetSuite.

This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor of position level and compensation.
