Job Description

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for an Aircraft Flight Controls integrator to join our Chief Engineering team based in Mirabel, Québec, Canada.

You will be part of the Chief Engineering team responsible for carrying full technical authority and responsibility for the aircraft design in compliance with airworthiness regulations, product and passenger safety, environmental protection, aircraft operability, design maturity, security and airport operations requirements.

Challenges
  • Define aircraft requirements and objectives for design modifications of Flight Controls Systems to obtain optimum overall product and ensure engineering solutions comply with these requirements throughout the design process.
  • Define and ensure timely delivery of engineering solutions to satisfy safety, customer and program requirements.
  • Assist customer support in defining root‑cause, mitigations and solutions to system issues affecting performance.
  • Provide decisions on design and technology trade‑offs in the best interest of the overall product strategy.
  • Guide and motivate engineering and supplier teams to deliver engineering solutions and modifications on schedule and in compliance with product requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership for large‑scale initiatives when assigned and ensure the development can be executed in line with technical and program objectives.
  • Work with Program teams to assign and manage priorities for engineering development in your assigned area.
Profile
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
  • Five (5) years or more experience in aerospace Flight Controls Systems design or integration.
  • Ability to lead transverse technical and cross‑functional teams and challenge technical solutions.
  • Proven experience working with customer support and supply chain personnel to understand cross‑functional interactions in the systems perimeter.
  • Capability to present solutions and plans to senior management and customers.
  • Awareness of systems development process, interactions with airframe design and technical disciplines, and airworthiness compliance process.
Travel

Occasional travel overseas may be required.
