At Five Star Insurance, we are looking for an experienced Insurance Broker, RIBO license in good standing with 3-5 years of Insurance industry experience.

About:

Five Star Insurance is an insurance brokerage with clients across Canada. We take care of your total insurance needs and are specialists in Truck insurance, Business insurance, Manufacturers and Contractors insurance, Auto and Home insurance.

Responsibilities:

Provide Quotes to incoming callers and/or web leads for potential new Business Sales

Assess and qualify risks according to brokerage and underwriting companies’ rules and guidelines to determine acceptance, placement and Carrier

Close Sales of policies

Document and follow up on leads

Service incoming calls for policy changes and renewals

Conduct Policy Reviews to ensure that Insureds are adequately protected with the appropriate coverages

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2-5 years’ personal lines brokerage experience

Secondary School diploma or equivalent

Strong Sales Closure of new Quotes to Policy

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Self-starter with the ability to meet Sales goals

Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively

Strong knowledge of Personal Lines Auto and Property Insurance

Experience with multiple markets

Exceptional customer relationship management skills

A team player and have the ability to work without supervision

Preferred Skills:

Prior experience with Power Broker or other Broker Systems

Experienced with Applied Rating Services (formerly Compu-Quote)

Ability to work in a diverse team environment

Proficient in Microsoft Software (Word, Excel etc.)

CIP designation an asset but not required
