Overview

Our Calgary-based client is a highly respected voice in the Security Solutioning space. As a Security Architect, you will work with a pre-sales team and large-scale clients to solution key Security areas like Identity Management, End-point protection, compliance frameworks, Cloud Security, among other key areas.

This is a Hybrid role based in Calgary, AB.

As a key member of the Solutions Architecture team, you will have expertise in the following key areas:

Cybersecurity Solution Expertise
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across domains such as cloud security, identity and access management, endpoint protection, and compliance frameworks.
  • Lead discovery and assessment sessions with clients to identify gaps, define requirements, and shape solution strategies.
  • Design integrated cybersecurity architectures leveraging services and partner technologies.
Sales Enablement & Customer Engagement
  • Partner with account managers to qualify and advance opportunities.
  • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept to technical and executive audiences.
  • Simplify complex security concepts into clear, actionable insights for customers.
  • Presenting on technical subject matter at industry and commercial conferences.
Solution Design & Proposal Support
  • Promote and solution cybersecurity service offerings across customer engagements.
  • Draft Statements of Work (SOWs), RFP responses, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with customer needs.
  • Position iON as a strategic partner by tailoring solutions to the customer's journey, not just selling products.
  • Partner with product vendor Solution Architects for product-specific solutioning, leveraging their expertise to strengthen customer outcomes.
  • At times, structuring and executing on customer facing Proof of Concept technical labs, demonstrations, and comparisons.
  • Being familiar with the technical and security capabilities of major vendors.
  • Certifying on major partner vendors technical solutions.
Collaboration & Continuous Feedback
  • Work seamlessly with Sales, Product, and Delivery teams to ensure customer success.
  • Capture customer and market feedback to inform service development and strategy.
  • Stay current on emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
Requirements

We're looking for someone who is driven, curious, and cares about doing great work. Ideally, you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Cybersecurity certifications (e.g. PCNSA, CCIE, CCSP, CISM, CISSP, GIAC)
  • Expertise across cybersecurity domains including network, cloud, SIEM, endpoint, GRC, AppSec and IAM, with core capability in one of these domains. Some operational background is preferred.
  • Experience with relevant tools, frameworks, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to assess business needs and design fit-for-purpose security architectures.
  • Familiarity and experience with evaluating business risk and developing appropriate solutions.
