Job summary

A leading health technology company in Canada is looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform daily maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance on facility equipment. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, with five years of relevant experience, particularly in manufacturing environments. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical failures, ordering materials, and ensuring compliance with safety programs. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Five years of maintenance experience in a processing/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine daily maintenance activities for the facility and scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Identify problems, collect data, and recommend corrective action.
• Order materials needed with Supervisor’s approval.
• Interface with operations personnel regarding work orders.

Skills

Purchasing

Knowledge of 480-volt 3 Phase power

Ability to read and interpret ladder logic and electrical diagrams

Electric motor control troubleshooting

Repair and troubleshooting of mechanical systems

Ability to operate welding equipment and a cutting torch

Knowledge of hand and power tools and their safe use

Education
