Job summary

A legal services organization in Thunder Bay is recruiting a Family Violence Prevention Worker to implement and report on initiatives in targeted communities. The role requires a post-secondary diploma in law, advocacy, or social work, along with relevant experience in handling domestic violence and indigenous issues. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication and case management skills. The position offers a starting salary of $50,140 annually, with full-time hours and existing vacancy. Qualifications

  • Experience in dealing with victims and offenders of Sexual Abuse and Domestic Violence.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous issues and the legal system.
  • Experience working with NAN and in First Nation communities.
  • Ability to speak Cree, Oji-Cree, or Ojibway is an asset.
