Job Overview

GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Junior Sawmill Worker to join our valued client’s team in Grande Prairie, AB. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety. The successful candidate will begin as a yard labourer with clear opportunities to progress into more senior roles within the sawmill operation.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general yard labour duties including material handling, cleanup, and assisting equipment operators.
  • Support sawmill operations by ensuring proper flow of materials and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and participate in regular safety meetings.
  • Assist senior sawmill personnel as required to support production activities.
Qualifications
  • Ability to perform physical labour, including lifting, bending, and working in outdoor conditions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent heavy labour experience.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools or equipment operation.
  • Experience in outdoor and indoor industrial environments with exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
  • Understanding that personal protective equipment is required and will be provided as per site standards.
  • Competitive hourly wage of $25 per hour.
