Overview

Connecting the Roots Psychotherapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Independent Contractor Psychotherapist to join our team. We are a growing practice committed to providing high-quality mental health services to individuals, couples, and families. We have a beautiful naturally lit office located in downtown St. Catharines and we are hoping to build a supportive group of therapists to work together.

About the Role

As an independent contractor, you'll have the flexibility to manage your own schedule and caseload while being part of a supportive and collaborative community of professionals. You will provide psychotherapy services to clients, developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments to determine client needs and treatment goals.
  • Provide individual, couples, and / or family psychotherapy.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and community resources as needed to ensure comprehensive client care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
Qualifications
  • Master\'s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice psychotherapy with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
  • 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience in various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed care).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice and professional integrity.

  • Looking for a few different individuals, one who is specialized or drawn to couples work, and one who would like to work with children / has experience with therapy for children / adolescents, specialization in ADHD or neurodivergence (not a requirement but beneficial)

Job Type : Part-time

Pay : $75.00-$105.00 per hour

Expected hours : 5 – 15 per week
