Job Title : In-Service Support – Design Engineer

Location : Mirabel (hybrid 3 days a week)

Job Description

As part of a specialized group within the engineering team, you will support a commercial aircraft program as a Design Engineer specialist for In-service support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess structural damage to aircraft.
  • Respond to aircraft grounded (AOG) situations and customer engineering requests.
  • Investigate causes of in-service problems, resolve failures, and find effective solutions.
  • Propose repair solutions complying with sector regulations and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with stress department and other specialists such as Aero, Materials & Processes.
  • Prepare design reports in English for certification.
  • Design generic repairs for metallic and composite structures.
  • Participate in structural modifications design and support.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in aerospace repairs (In-service, MAP / MRB).
  • Good knowledge of CATIA V5 (preferably R19) and Enovia.
  • Excellent understanding of aircraft structure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English, French is an asset.
  • Knowledge of airline operations, engineering, and maintenance is a plus.
