Job description

In-home caregiver – private home – ArPr + AlGe… family

Terms of employment- This job is for a full-time position (30-40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start date is May 21, 2026.

Salary: Wage offered is between $17 and $19 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the First Quartile wage rate change for this field of work in Quebec.

Language required- English or French.

Location- ArPr + AlGe… lives in the city of Westmount, in Montreal, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, school and parks are nearby. The city bus is easily accessible and is close by (bus # 124). The major intersection is Victoria and The Boulevard.

Duties may include:

• This job is to help with the care of four children – twins aged 10 years old, an 8 year old and 6 year old. One child has severe chronic medical condition and has special.
• Supervision of children when parents are not at home.
• Bathe and help to dress the youngest child.
• Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
• Plan, prepare and serve meals for children. Kitchen clean-up is also required.
• General housework that will include doing laundry and some ironing.
• Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment.

Qualifications:

• Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
• Must have at least one year of work related experience as a caregiver.
• Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
• Experience with children with special needs is an asset.
