Import and Export Transportation Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Senstar has an opening for a high energy Import/Export Transportation Coordinator, reporting to the Vice President of Operations. If you are well versed in the documentation, shipment and management of import/export activities and also seeking challenging projects that include development and implementation of import/export policies and procedures, then this is the ideal position for you. The Import/Export Transportation Coordinator will be working onsite as a VITAL member of an amazing operations team.

The Expectations of the Position include..

  • Coordination of shipments from suppliers, manufacturers, or customers to ensure timely delivery of goods. This involves liaising with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistic suppliers to arrange transportation and manage the shipping process.
  • Act as point of contact for internal team members, external vendors and customers to address inquiries, provide status updates on shipments and resolve any issues that may arise during the import/export process.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions, including bills of lading, packing slips, certificates or origin, and other necessary documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and requirements for both imports and exports. This involves accurately preparing and verifying import/export documentation, such as customs declarations, invoices and shipping documents.
  • Able to comply with and have a general understanding of leveraging trade agreements for optimal logistics performance.

What You Bring to Senstar...

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a logistics and/or shipping role
  • College diploma in business, supply chain management, international transportation and customs, or equivalent
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills(ie. Word, Excel) including experience with a freight forward software
  • Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods including lithium batteries. A certificate in TDG is an asset
  • Adaptable, able to integrate with a diverse group of people
  • Self-motivated and strong team player
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and positive working attitude
  • Must be able to perform under pressure
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Able to analyze and interpret complex or ambiguous information
